Fort Knox Gold Depository. The depository contains over $6 billion worth of gold held by
the U.S. Treasury Department. During World War II, the Constitution, Declaration of
Independence, Gutenberg Bible, Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, and Magna Carta were
placed in the depository at Fort Knox for safekeeping. |
